Hi there! I’m Nehal (pronounced Nay-hull). I’ve wanted to be a writer ever since the age of 8, when in my fourth grade class I wrote a poem dedicated to the life cycle of a snowman. In fact, my childhood journal got me through the awkward years of middle and high school, and, in college, I traded it in for a creative writing major—though I’m sure my parents would have much rather I studied medicine.
I often find myself going down many rabbit holes to get to the heart of a story. Though I still dream of becoming the next J.K. Rowling, most recently, I’ve served as an editor for The Bump, where I learned how to turn my passion for writing into distinctive copy for content marketing and SEO target keywords.
I’m originally from New York City, but currently living in Charleston, South Carolina. In my spare time, I love baking up a storm, taking a mat pilates class, catching up with friends over coffee and rediscovering my artistic side with Emily Lex’s watercolor workbooks.
